Huckleberry Books, Art Gallery Kimberley celebrate one year of collaboration

Carefully-curated selection of books available in Kimberley’s Platzl.

It’s been one year since Art Gallery Kimberley started their creative collaboration with Cranbrook’s independently-owned Huckleberry Books.

Throughout the year, Huckleberry owner Erin Dalton and gallery owner Irma de Visser have worked hard to put together a thoughtfully-curated collection of books, available in Kimberley’s Platzl.

“We’ve created a unique blend of art and literature that really speaks to our shared values of creativity and community,” Dalton said.

The book section is in the cosy back section of the gallery, which is located at 167 Deer Park Ave. The collection features books on art, non-fiction, fiction, children’s books and numerous titles from Indigenous authors.

If you don’t find what you’re looking for on the shelves, the owners are more than happy to order anything you need in order to create a personalized experience for each shopper.

“We’re excited to continue our cool little collab’ and hope to expand it in the coming year,” de Visser said. “This partnership has brought a new dimension to our gallery, and we’re keen to see where it goes from here.”

Dalton and de Visser welcome you to help celebrate the anniversary of this creative collaboration by stopping by to explore their ever-expanding collection.
