Artists from across the country now have the opportunity to apply for one of Tuscaloosa’s biggest and most respected art events.
The Kentuck Festival of the Arts recently announced applications are officially open for the 55th annual festival, set to take place October 17 through October 18, 2026, at Snow Hinton Park.
For more than 50 years, the festival has grown into a nationally recognized event known for showcasing a wide range of artistic styles including folk art, contemporary pieces, and traditional crafts. According to a press release sent to Townsquare Media, many artists who first showcased their work at Kentuck early in their careers have since gone on to have their work featured in major galleries and museum collections around the country.
The festival continues to receive national recognition as well. According to the press release, Sunshine Artist Magazine consistently ranks Kentuck among the top Classic and Contemporary Craft Shows in the nation. The event has also been featured in publications including Smithsonian Magazine, National Geographic Traveler, and Southern Living.
Each year, more than 15,000 people attend the festival, giving artists the chance to connect with collectors and art supporters from across the country. According to the press release, artists also value the festival’s hospitality, strong community support, and the relationships built throughout the weekend.
Festival organizers are encouraging artists interested in participating to apply now and experience why many have referred to Kentuck as “A Heaven of a Place.”

Anyone with questions about the application process can contact festival staff by phone at (205) 758-1257.
