Levitt at the Falls to debut two new murals this summer

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – Levitt at the Falls is adding new color to downtown Sioux Falls with two big mural projects.

The venue has commissioned an indoor mural from Sioux Falls artist Les Cotton and an outdoor mural along Phillips Avenue from Bay Area art team Rough Edge Collective.

Cotton’s work goes up this month inside the T. Denny Sanford Hospitality Center ahead of the June 4th season opener.

The Phillips Avenue mural will be painted late June into early July during Levitt concerts, letting the public watch and take part in special events as the art takes shape.

“We are excited to incorporate visual arts into the expansion of the Levitt space,” said Rose Ann Hofland, Vice President of Programming at Levitt at the Falls. “These murals will welcome visitors into the venue and reflect the creativity that defines this space and the joy that we aim to foster here. We are grateful to donor Tess Kirby, to the artists who responded with such enthusiasm, and to the volunteer selection committee for helping bring this project to life.”
