“Leaning Houses” by Ava Chistianon, ceramic
Yakima Valley College art students have been working hard, and now it’s our chance to see some fresh creativity from our next generation of artists.
Larson Gallery’s Student Art Show features artwork from Yakima Valley College’s Department of Visual Arts (DoVA). This annual exhibit showcases artwork created for class assignments from spring and fall quarters of 2025, and winter quarter of 2026.
Visitors can explore an eclectic mix of mediums, including ceramics, painting, drawing, printmaking, photography and design. The exhibition offers students a professional platform to showcase their growth while giving the community a first look at the emerging artistic voices. Many pieces are available for purchase, making this a wonderful opportunity to support young artists and add to your art collection.
Awards and honorable mentions were presented at the show’s opening reception on May 5.
From the classrooms to the gallery walls – DoVA 2026 is on display at Larson Gallery now through Saturday, May 30. Admission is free.
