SilverArtists showcase talents in annual art show

On Thursday, April 23, Davie County SilverArtists showed off their incredible talents at the third Annual SilverArts Heritage and Visual Arts Art Show. The art show was held in the multipurpose room at the Davie County Public Library. Each year, artists enter their pieces of work that are completed within the last two years. They drop their items off in the morning, judging is done midday, and the awards are given at the art show. This year, the volunteer judges were Jessica Allen, Toni Hutchens and Emily Miller. Senior Services greatly appreciates their time and knowledge of arts. SilverArts are not broken into age categories, so everyone is competing against everyone in the category.

The “Best of Show” audience-voted award goes to Nancy Faller for the woodcarving piece “Quiet Strength.”
