THE EVANSTON ART CENTER (EAC) ANNOUNCES PERCEPTIONS OF FLOW: FORMATION
The Evanston Art Center (EAC) is excited to welcome the public to Perceptions of Flow: “Formation.”
Perceptions of Flow: “Formation”is one component of a two-part exhibition that looks into the conceptualization process of a creative idea. In this exhibit, artists explore their individual expression through an interdisciplinary approach that blends various forms of visual arts, ceramics, and poetry. The exhibit visually and auditorily represents the tension a creative has internally with their flow of expression, which is then shared with the audience.
The exhibition, presented in partnership with Arts of Life, features works by the following artists: Marcelo Añón, Billy Borgerd, Cole Fox, Amanda Gantner, Phil Gazzolo, Ted Hamel, Nikki Huesman, and Vontrell Nunn. Arts of Life is a 501(c)3 non-profit founded in January 2000 with a shared vision: to create a working, person-centric, artistic community while providing a work environment of equality in Chicago. Arts of Life advances the creative arts community by providing artists with intellectual and developmental disabilities a collective space to expand their practice and strengthen their leadership.
Perceptions of Flow: “Formation” will be exhibited in the Lobby Gallery of the Art Center. The closing reception is free and open to the public. This exhibition is partially funded by the Illinois Arts Council, a state agency, and the EAC’s general membership.
Evanston Art Center, a nonprofit 501 (c)(3) organization, is dedicated to fostering the appreciation and expression of the arts among diverse audiences.
