FITCHBURG, Wis. (WMTV) -A “May the Fourth” market took over Noble Knight Games on Saturday, bringing together local artists and makers for a one-day pop-up event.
The market ran from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., featuring a curated lineup of vendors who specialize in handmade, sci-fi and space-inspired pieces. Items included interstellar artwork and fandom-themed prints, as well as jewelry, decor and gifts built around popular movies, games and comics.
Organizers said the goal is to give small, local businesses a fun, welcoming space while giving fans a chance to shop unique, one-of-a-kind items they won’t find in big box stores.
“It is so amazing to see dorks and nerds and geeks, whatever it may be, come out and support homemade businesses,” said Nerd Made Madison co-founder Michelle Whisner.
Saturday’s “May the Fourth” market is part of a seasonal series hosted with Noble Knight Games. The series also included a cottagecore market in April and a “bookish” market scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 15.
Each event leans into a different theme, but all are designed to showcase local creativity and bring the community together.
