The series, which includes award-winning artists, has been organised by Music Spoken Here at the Marr’s Bar in Worcester.
Taking place on Thursdays and a Sunday, the series will focus on original material spanning a wide range of musical genres.
On Thursday, November 13, Rosie Frater-Taylor will perform.
Fronted as a singer, guitarist, and songwriter, Frater-Taylor will mark her third appearance at the venue.
Debuted in Worcester in December 2022, her latest album Featherweight, which was released in February 2024, marks a change in the artist’s style, deftly blurring the boundaries between rock, alt pop, neo soul, new-school jazz and folk whilst tackling an array of themes including self-reflection, vulnerability and anger.
Her sophomore album Bloom has garnered more than four million online streams.
Rosie Frater-Taylor comes with endorsements from big names in the music industry – Led Zepplin’s Jimmy Page lauded her exceptional ‘connection with the guitar’ following her performance at the Gibson Garage launch in London.
British soul star Seal said of Rosie they ‘haven’t heard anything so exciting and original since Amy Winehouse’.
The series continues on Thursday, November 27, with London-based Peruvian saxophonist, flautist, and composer, Allexa Nava, capping off a nine-date UK tour with her debut gig in Worcester.
Developed by Tomorrow’s Warriors – an artist development company in London – Nava is a member of the all-female Latin band Colectiva, noted for performances in the Cuban cabaret show Paradise Under the Stars which spanned from March to September in the capital.
Her debut EP ‘No Language’ was released via Jazz Re:freshed in February this year.
On Sunday, November 30, alternative RnB singer and songwriter Czafari from Tipton will headline the fifth event in the newly initiated Sunday Service programme.
The programme, launched in May, is held on the last Sunday of the month and provides a platform for soul, gospel, RnB, and reggae talents.
Czafari released her debut EP ‘Human Legitimation’ at the tender age of 17.
However, she paused her music career following the birth of her daughter.
Upon her return, she launched her second EP – ‘Things Take Time’ in summer of this year and graced the stage at the Birmingham Mostly Jazz Funk & Soul Festival in July.
