A dual show at the Armstrong Spallumcheen Museum and Art Gallery opens May 28.
The Armstrong Spallumcheen Museum and Art Gallery is kicking off the summer season with a new dual exhibition opening Thursday, May 28.
The show features a mix of expressive landscape paintings and whimsical, high-definition imagery, running through June 27.
In the Main Gallery, the Shuswap Plein Air Troupe, comprising artists Diane Akey, Maureen Howard and Patricia L. Smith, presents Together: From There to Here.
Their work focuses on the natural world, ranging from textured, energetic surfaces to atmospheric scenes that reflect their shared experiences painting outdoors.
The Freeze Gallery will host Nancy Vince’s A Touch of Whimsy, a collection of high-definition metal prints. Her vibrant work is filled with playful details like enchanted cottages, birdhouses, and hidden creatures, all presented with a luminous finish.
An opening reception for both exhibitions will be held on Thursday, May 28, from 6 to 8 p.m..
