Galleri Kaya, an Uttara-based art gallery, has organised a group art exhibition featuring artworks by 35 modern and contemporary artists of Bangladesh and India to celebrate its anniversary on its premises in the capital.
The exhibition titled 20th Anniversary Exhibition is featuring 68 artworks, created by using different mediums, namely oil, acrylic, charcoal, mixed media, ink, pen, etching, serigraph, woodcut watercolour and mixed medium on paper and canvas between 1977 and 2024.
Artworks by Bangladeshi artists Abdus Shakoor Shah, Abul Barq Alvi, Ahmed Shamsuddoha, Aloptogin Tushar , Ashraful Hasan, Atin Basak, Chandra Shekhar Dey, Debdas Chakraborty , Goutam Chakraborty, Hamiduzzaman Khan, Hashem Khan, Jamal Ahmed, Kamaluddin, Kanak Chanpa Chakma , Kazi Abdul Baset, Mohammad Eunus, Mohammad Iqbal, Murtaja Basee), Nitun Kundu, Qayyum Chowdhury, Rafiqun Nabi, Ranjit Das, Ratan Mojumder, Samarjit Roy Choudhury, Samiran Chowdhury, Shahanoor Mamun, Shahid Kabir, Shishir Bhattacharjee and Shohag Parvez as well as artworks by Indian artists, namely Chandra Bhattacharjee, Ganesh Haloi, MF Husain, Manu Parekh, Sanat Kar and Sunil Das have been displayed in the exhibition.
Chief executive officer of HSBC Bangladesh Md Mahbub ur Rahman inaugurated the 15–day exhibition on July 5.
The exhibition will end on July 19.
