The annual event, now in its eighth year, will run alongside the Presteigne Music Festival and will give art lovers the chance to see the work of local artists and makers.
Visitors will be able to meet artists at their studios or view their work at small exhibitions, both in Presteigne and further afield.
This year, artists and makers from the nearby village of Brampton Bryan will join in the celebrations, taking over the newly refurbished youth centre.
There will also be exhibitors at the Judges’ Lodging Museum.
The event will showcase a variety of crafts including painting, photography, furniture, sculpture, print-making, glassware, jewellery, ceramics, and weaving.
A spokesperson said: “Open Studios Presteigne promises once more to be a fascinating aspect of this year’s Presteigne Music Festival.
“Over the years, Presteigne has become a magnet for artists and makers of all kinds.”
Many visitors to the music festival use the breaks between concerts to wander round this gem of a border town, calling in at studios and temporary galleries, having refreshments in the many cafes and pubs, and taking in the relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
The event will run from August 22 to 25 from 11am to 5pm each day.
A brochure and map of the studios is now available around Presteigne.
It can also be found on the Presteigne Open Studios Facebook and Instagram pages.
