Creepy artist’s impression shows what Brits believe an alien would look like

This artist’s impression shows what Brits reckon an alien would look like – with two heads, gills, and the ability to change colour. Researchers asked 2,000 people to describe what they think an ET looks like – and found it is typically 5ft tall, with webbed feet and green tufts of hair.

Four in 10 (43 per cent) reckon aliens would converse in their own, made-up language, and 22 per cent believe they’d have 360-degree vision. The lifeform would also have long, skinny limbs, and walk like a human.

International UFO researcher, Philip Mantle, who has teamed up with BLAZE, which is airing a series of documentaries as part of UFO Week, said: “When thinking about what extra-terrestrial life may look like, we just have to look at the diversity of life here on Earth to see how strange things can get.

“We humans, and other apes, are actually in a minority of being two-legged, upright beings. As for aliens, there are two arguments – the first is they would look far different than our human minds could ever imagine.

“The second is that aliens look pretty much like us as the upright hominid figure, with hands that have a thumb like ours – the exact shape designed by mother nature that enables us to be the top of the food chain both here on earth, and anywhere else “out there” too.”

The research also found three is the magic number, with adults believing aliens would have three eyes, ears, and arms – although 17 per cent think the ears would not be visible.

And despite having gills, those surveyed believe the beings would also have a nose, too, so they could breathe both in and out of water.

But some of the top similarities to a human include walking in the same way (40 per cent), and having an oval head (36 per cent).
