Paul Henry’s Art Gallery displaying new exhibit

Paul Henry’s Art Gallery in downtown Hammond is displaying a new solo exhibit from a local artist.

The art gallery in a vintage 19th-century hardware story at 416 Sibley St., Hammond, is exhibiting the work of Kaitlyn Stancy.

“Kaitlyn Stancy is a multidisciplinary artist educator and creative entrepreneur based out of Northwest Indiana,” Paul Henry’s Gallery owner and curator Dave Mueller said. “She specializes in graphic design, printmaking and photography. Her work ranges from documentary photography to abstract mixed media full of color and texture that explores otherworldly theory, deception, pollution, satire and social commentary among other far reaching subjects.”

Her “Top Secret” solo exhibit runs through the second week of July.

“Kaitlyn has submitted multiple pieces of a series of four-color screen prints titled ‘Top Secret’ which references declassified projects and events that the United States government had once kept secret,” Mueller said. “Combining her printed images with satirical captions the artist encourages people to question present day belief systems which may be founded on manipulated media.

Paul Henry’s Art Gallery is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
