This is the third year of the event which will feature ten craftmakers and artists in the Darwin Shopping Centre
Shoppers could discover some hidden gems next week as an annual celebration of artisan crafts and artists returns to Shrewsbury town centre.
The Shropshire Artisan Showcase 2026 will be based on the top floor of the Darwin Centre from May 11 to 16 and feature ten different designer-makers and artists housed in a pop-up shop.
Visitors will be able to meet the team in person and discuss their work and also see live demonstrations and hands-on experiences, featuring tactile ceramics, handcrafted jewellery, illustrations, textiles and fine art.

The ten featured artists are printmaker Rach Lloyd Press, Ceramics by Nina, jeweller Nature’s Treasure, felt specialist Felt It With Love and illustrator Liz Dickeson.
Also present will be jeweller Silverlicious, textiler Helen Foot Design, Trixi Hill Artist, illustrator Josephine.b.design and mixed media artist Monica Silver Art.
Now in its third year, the Artisan Showcase is part of a four-month programme designed to help small businesses prepare for the step into their own physical retail space.
The scheme focuses on retail readiness, marketing and sales, alongside the opportunity to trade in a prominent town-centre location.
It is delivered by the Shropshire Growth Hub, in partnership with Darwin Shopping Centre and Buy-From Creative Agency based in Bridgnorth.
The agency’s chief operating officer Jessica Ralph said: “It’s been an absolute pleasure working with this talented group of artists.
“There’s been so much energy throughout the programme and it’s been a real reminder of just how much talent we have here in Shropshire.
“These are people making work with real care and originality and it’s been wonderful to help give them a platform.”
Shropshire Growth Hub is part of Invest in Shropshire at Shropshire Council and provides information and support for businesses in the county.
