LIMA, Ohio – Lima Senior High School Art Teacher Karlyn Short is the recipient of an Ohio Outstanding Art Teacher Award.
The award comes from the Ohio Art Education Association (OAEA). Short, who has been with the Lima City School since 2018, received the honor at last night’s OAEA conference.
Short joins 13 other art teachers from around the state to be recognized. She was one of two from Northwest Ohio to receive the award.
The OAEA is the leading professional membership organization exclusively for visual arts educators in Ohio. Members include elementary, middle, and high school visual arts educators; college and university professors; researchers and scholars; teaching artists; administrators and supervisors; and art museum educators. OAEA’s mission is to build a community for visual art educators by promoting professional growth and leadership.
