Discover Vail is delighted to partner with Alpine Arts Center to offer a series of visual art programs for guests and residents this summer. The cost of classes located within the Town of Vail will be at a discounted rate of $25 per person.

This partnership enriches the visual arts experiences for participants by providing hands-on instruction in a variety of mediums. The lively classes are open to all ages unless otherwise noted; children must be accompanied by a participating adult.

The next event is Tuesday from 3:30-5p.m., taking place at The Amp before the Hot Summer Nights Concert. Sign up for this open-air class led by Alpine Arts Center in one of the most beautiful locations in Vail! The art technique of mixed media collage will be taught in a step-by-step art class where participants learn how to create a mountain scene on stretched canvas.

Other upcoming events in the series include Trail Map Canvas Painting on Tuesday, July 15 and Silk Scarf & Hat Marbling on Tuesday, August 19; fall events to follow. Samples of each project can be found on Alpine Arts Center’s online event calendar. Alpine Arts Center will also offer drop-in art during the concerts on these 3 dates.

“These classes are fun for everyone, and you don’t need any previous experience to have a great time and develop a new art skill,” said Lauren Merrill of Alpine Arts Center.
