Grants awarded to Western Mass. museums for sustainability efforts

NORTH ADAMS — A painter’s legacy will help make two museums in Western Massachusetts more environmentally sustainable.

Both the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art and the Williams College Museum of Art have been selected to receive grants from the Helen Frankenthaler Foundation to help meet specific sustainability goals. The two museums are among a group of more than 60 visual arts organizations receiving funding from the 2024 Frankenthaler Climate Initiative.
