The Bath House Cultural Center is hosting a hybrid open mic, art show and curated event called Storytelling In Solidarity, Aug. 10 with open mic sign-up at 7 p.m. and films and performances starting at 8 p.m.
The event is free and presented by members of the community. Storytelling In Solidarity is meant for those who stand in solidarity with the “world’s liberation movements.”
Through mixed-media like poetry, music, spoken word and visual art, those who participate are able to share personal anecdotes and lived experiences related to “historical, current, local and international initiatives,” with the intention of effecting change.
Those signing up for the open mic will be going in 10-minute slots before films and performances start.
