Zero Degree Artists Gallery held an Art from Vegetables and Flowers Workshop for Marquette’s Art Week

MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – Zero Degree Artists Gallery held a workshop for Marquette Art Week on Wednesday. This gallery has participated in 9 Art Weeks and this year provided a workshop where they showed guests how to create prints and art from flowers and vegetables.

This year’s Art Week theme is growth which is why the gallery decided to use various plants. The workshop provides a tote bag, guests then coat a flower or veggie in paint and stamp it on the bag.

“Just getting people excited about art that doesn’t really do art, a lot of people are like ‘well I’m not good at art’ but we try to make real simple projects that people can be successful at and feel good and take something home with them,” Michele Tuccini, Zero Degree Artist Gallery Artist and Member.

Gallery members will be participating in the Fresh Coast Plein Air Festival in Marquette this Friday and Saturday, showcasing their work.
