Weir Farm National Historical Park Names 2024 Artists In Residence


RIDGEFIELD, CT – Weir Farm National Historical Park has announced the six artists selected for its 2024 Artist-in-Residence Program.

  • May – Yael Ort-Dinoor. Public Open Studio Program May 25, 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
  • June – Stephen Henderson. Public Open Studio Program June 22, 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
  • July – Sonja Haroldson. Public Open Studio Program July 27, 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
  • August – January Yoon Cho. Public Open Studio Program Aug. 24, 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
  • September – Jessica Mehta. Public Open Studio Program Sept. 28, 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
  • October – Catherine Sollman. Public Open Studio Program Oct. 26, 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

“As a park with such deep roots in the history and ongoing pursuit of contemporary American art, the Artist-in-Residence Program is critical to achieving our mission,” said Weir Farm National Historical Park superintendent Linda Cook. “We are thrilled to provide this opportunity to a diverse and talented group of artists, and look forward to watching how this experience inspires their work.”

The call for applications to participate in the Artist-in-Residence Program in 2025 will be open from November 1, 2024, to January 31, 2025.

This year, the program received 78 applications in varied visual art mediums, of which six artists were selected by a panel of three jurors: Nina Buxenbaum, Kimberly Henrickson, and Liz Egan.
