The Ned’s ‘Visual Arts Camp, Jr.’ teaches practical art skills to a younger audience

JACKSON, Tenn. — Some campers are spending their summer learning some new skills.

This week The Ned is holding its ‘Visual Arts Camp, Jr.’ For ages 6 through 12.

It’s a follow up to the ‘Visual Arts Camp Teens’ they held earlier this year.

The camp will have daily sessions offering campers the opportunity to begin developing their own personal style, while they learn and refine their art skills. Art supplies and snacks are provided daily.

“The young artists are going to learn about, really the fundamentals of drawing, sketching, and painting. And they’ll be led by Ned Staff Member, Jordan Alexander who paints all the sets and all the props for our shows that we do,” said David McCall, executive director of the Ned.

If you know a young artist who would like to participate in a program like this one, The Ned will have another visual arts camp in the fall.
