Heads up, music lovers! We’re about to witness something absolutely incredible at Golden Hill’s Union Hall Gallery. Art of Elan is back with their downtown series, and this time they’re cranking up the awesome to eleven!
When Music Gets Magical
Ever wondered what happens when you mix killer vocals, mind-bending loops, and classical instruments? The amazing Jesus Gonzalez is about to show us!
He’s teaming up with a dream team of musicians—Griffin Powdrell making that flute sing, Batya MacAdam-Somer rocking the violin and viola, Alex Greenbaum bringing the cello vibes, and Julie Smith Phillips working pure magic on the harp.
And talk about a sneak peek—we’re getting first dibs on songs from Jesus’s new album “ENOCH” (cue the excitement!). With Jesse Audelo’s brilliant arrangements in the mix, this isn’t just a concert—it’s a whole vibe.
Jesus Gonzalez’s signature style of looping soulful harmonies and layering instruments is like nothing you’ve ever heard before. As he puts it, his music is basically shouting “Can you believe we’re all here?!” (And honestly, we can’t believe our luck!)
Art That’ll Make Your Heart Skip a Beat
While your ears are having the time of their life, your eyes are in for a treat too! The gallery walls are decked out with “The Power of Place: Inspirations from Ilan-Lael”—featuring seven seriously talented artists who’ve been vibing at James Hubbell’s legendary creative haven.
These artists are the first-ever Visiting Artist Fellows of the Ilan-Lael Foundation, and they’re bringing their A-game with stunning paintings, photographs, and poetry that’ll give you all the feels.
See you there!
