Inkiostro Bianco unveils the new ‘Flora’ collection with Enrico Borsani Colussi

After the great success of collections created with Giovanni Bressana, Italian brand Inkiostro Bianco resumes its artistic collaborations to bring a different vision to its graphic portfolio. This work has always been part of Inkiostro Bianco’s creative DNA, as blending different creative visions broadens perspectives and enriches thought. The artistic vision is unique and can bring great value to a project, making it one-of-a-kind. Introducing art into interior design and allowing the two disciplines to intertwine creates new connections and inspirations.

To highlight this type of collaboration, the brand has created Mixed Media, a new series of digital volumes, each dedicated to an artist. The first edition of this series is dedicated to the Flora collection by Enrico Borsani Colussi, a Venetian artist with a deep connection to nature and visual art.

Flora consists of six exclusive wallpapers that transform walls into artistic herbariums. These works not only represent flora but physically incorporate it through a meticulous process that includes collecting, pressing and composing leaves. The leaves, sourced from forests and urban gardens, are carefully cut and assembled into pure or mixed geometries, reflecting the ephemeral beauty of nature.

Colussi began his career in photography and graphic design. After a period dedicated to videography and music, he felt the need to reconnect with nature. In 2020, he started the FOIE project, focusing on botanical art. Each of his works is a visual narrative that explores the shapes and colours of tree leaves, using natural materials without chemical treatments to create compositions that evolve.

In this perspective, biological and artistic temporality intertwine, crystallising a moment of natural beauty that evolves over time. Each work, composed of untreated natural elements, is destined to change. However, this does not happen with the wallpapers, which instead, offer the possibility of preserving these botanical poems over time.

This collection of product designs invites exploration of the interplay between artistic gesture, the life cycle of plants and nature and interior design, opening new spaces of contemplation and wonder by bringing these works into a living space.
