Don’t miss your chance to see “Connections” exhibit at Carnegie Visual Arts Center

DECATUR, Ala. (WHNT) – If you stay in North Alabama long enough, you’re bound to come across an event that brings artists and art lovers together. The Carnegie Visual Arts Center in Decatur is living up to that expectation with its newest exhibit, Connections: The Arthouse Group.

Now through October 18, you’ll have one last chance to see (and buy) the wonderful pieces created by our very own talented local artists.

The Arthouse Group artists found each other through their connection to the Carnegie Visual Arts Center and their love of creating art. The strong ties that link the Arthouse Group to the Carnegie Visual Arts Center became the inspiration for the theme of this exhibit.

Founded in 2023, T.A.G. consists of 10 north Alabama artists. They have an annual show on Grant Street in Decatur, AL. The members of the Arthouse Group include Laura Grace Clark, Tammie Clark, Jessica Emrick, Marsha Ercegovic, Rickie Higgins, Michael Manly, Michié Mooney, Jennifer Mumby, Mary H Reed, and Rebecca Sower.

Attend the Artists Reception for the Arthouse Group on Thursday night (10/16) at 5:30 p.m., where you’ll find cocktails, engage in artist Q&A sessions, and more original art pieces.
