Aug. 19—Carnegie Visual Arts Center will host five local chefs for an event called Farm to Table: An Evening at the Market, bringing together visual art and the culinary arts at the Morgan County-Decatur Farmers Market.
The chefs include Chris Lilly, Bib Bob Gibson Bar-B-Q; Betty Sims, three-time cookbook author; Scott Boyers, Deviant Smoke; Jake Reed, local chef; and Silas Whitt, junior chef. The chefs will create their signature dishes using local produce at 6 p.m. on Sept. 18, at the Farmers Market, 211 First Ave S.E.
One of Carnegie’s current exhibits includes multiple food-centered paintings from Sonya Clemons, also known as the ArtLady.
