Bismarck gallery to feature artists, poet


Bismarck Art & Galleries Association is featuring “Fever Dreams: Explorations in Oil” by Heather Thomas Olson starting Tuesday through June 28. 

The member artist is Bobbie Lee.

Olson is an American oil painter who lives in western North Dakota and paints full time in her home studio. Her work includes portraiture, plants, animals, still life and landscapes. 

Lee studied fine art at Western State College in Gunnison, Colorado, and graphic design at Bismarck State College. Her preferred mediums are acrylic and watercolor, drawing inspiration from the light and colors of the prairie and local wildlife.

An opening reception that’s free and open to the public will be held Tuesday from 5-7 p.m. with a gallery chat at 5:30 p.m. Bismarck Art & Galleries Association is at 422 E. Front Ave. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. The gallery is closed Saturdays during the summer.
