Queensland artist Archie Moore won the art equivalent of the Olympics this year with a monumental take on First Nations history and colonisation, but his latest work is intimate and inward-looking.

The Kamilaroi and Bigambul man overnight became one of the world’s most watched artists when kith and kin, a personal genealogy going back 2400 generations, took home the Golden Lion at Venice Biennale in April, the first time an Australian has won art’s top prize.
