The Arts Council is encouraging Wicklow artists to apply for the Young People, Children and Education Project Award, which supports artists to develop and deliver ambitious and original projects with and for children and young people

Opening to applications on Tuesday, June 25, the YPCE Project Award features a maximum award of €80,000 and is available to organisations working to engage children and young people in the arts, for example a youth service, and is also open to individual artists.

Projects may be interdisciplinary or focused on a specific artform. Criteria including artistic merit, feasibility and meeting the priorities of the award are given equal consideration in the assessment process, and then a panel gives a single score for each application. The collated scores of all panel members create the final score for an application.

The Arts Council will run an online information clinic via Zoom for the Project Award on Wednesday, July 10 at 11 a.m., with the deadline for applications for the award on Thursday, July 25.

If you have a disability and would like help applying, contact the Arts Council’s Access Officer as early as possible before the deadline.
