Ministry of Culture announces exhibition contest among artists in honor of 100th anniversary of Kara-Kyrgyz Autonomous Oblast

AKIPRESS.COM – The Ministry of Culture and the Council of Artists of Kyrgyzstan have announced exhibition contest among artists in honor of the 100th anniversary of Kara-Kyrgyz Autonomous Oblast, the press service of the Ministry of Culture reports.

The purpose of the contest is inspiration of artists for creation of works reflecting the image of the Kyrgyz people, their culture, traditions, lifestyle and spiritual values.

The competition is held in 4 areas: visual arts, sculpture, graphics, decorative and applied art. It is open to artists of all genres and directions, regardless of age and place of residence.

The subject of works must correspond to the name of the contest and reflect cultural, historical, social or spiritual aspects of the Kyrgyz people.

Applications are accepted until November 5. The exhibition itself will be held on November 6-26 at the National Museum of Fine Arts named after Gapar Aitiyev.
