Clapham’s Old Sawmill Cafe hosts work of local artists

As part of its spring and summer programme of events, the cafe, at the entrance to the Ingleborough Trail and Cave, is hosting the exhibition from Saturday, May 11 until May 17, in its upstairs The Reginald Farrer Room.

It will be a chance to see a selection of the work on display by the artists during the trail itself, which will take place on Saturday, May 18 and Sunday, May 19; and during the late May bank holiday weekend, from May 25 to May 27. The Lunesdale Open Studios event has been going for more than 20 years. Find out more at: www.lunesdalearts.co.uk.

Over four days in June, Annie Farrer, who lives in Clapham, will be exhibiting her work at the cafe exhibition space as part of North Yorkshire Open Studios – a chance for North Yorkshire artists and makers to open up their studios to the public, and to sell their art.

Annie, who paints in acyclic and oil from memories of the Ingleborough area stored up since childhood, will be exhibiting her work at the cafe over the first two weekends in June. She also works in pen and ink, particularly with detailed drawings of Trow Ghyll, whose limestone rock surfaces and intricate trees provide her with an endless source of inspiration.

The cafe exhibition space is open from 10am to 4pm.
