Artists paint boarded-up windows of old buildings in Tipperary

The work team of the South Tipperary Art Group (STAG) has been very busy again, this time painting the boarded-up windows at Morton Street, Clonmel.

This is project was organised by Clonmel Library and the themes of the paintings are based on stories from residents of nearby Marian Court, who recalled their memories of old tales handed down from generation to generation to folklorist Michael Fortune, in a podcast from last year.

Some months ago the STAG artists also painted the boarded-up units at Market Place, Clonmel.
