A new record label is being launched with a mission to give local musicians a bigger stage and a professional sound.

The Palladium Club has teamed up with North Devon artists András Droppa and Jacob Terry to create Pally Records, an initiative designed to help grassroots performers record and release their music.

Ben Nigh, owner of the club, said: “We feel it’s really important to preserve the amazing original music being created locally. There are so many fantastic local artists, and each of them deserves the opportunity to have their music recorded to a professional standard. We also hope to aid our artists in pushing their music to new audiences, and to gain more performance opportunities in the local area and beyond.”

The label’s launch will be marked with two back-to-back live album recordings on Friday, October 17, 2025, at the Palladium Club.

András, who released his debut album at the venue last year, said: “I’m so honoured to be involved with Pally Records. The Palladium Club has been the venue for my favourite gigs to date, and I’m so excited to work with them going forwards to help support other local artists!”

For Jacob, the event will mark his first full-band release. He said: “I can’t think of a better way to start a new musical chapter than with founding this label and recording my first ‘full band’ album. The Palladium Club has always been such a strong advocate for grassroots artists up and down the country, and we hope this marks the next big step in creating a sustainable future for the UK grassroots music scene!”

Money raised from ticket sales will go towards establishing Pally Records and producing its debut albums. Tickets are on sale now at wegottickets.com/event/675963.
