A large group exhibition showcasing the work of artists is set to amaze in a Suffolk town after months of planning.
Co-curators Jessica Bradley, 50, and Aaron Farris, 51, joined forces in 2022 to create 14X14 with the intention of hosting local arts events.
Following their first successful exhibition in spring 2023 which featured 14 East Anglian artists, they are now gearing up for a second celebration of artwork in The Theatre, Framlingham, from Friday, May 3 to Tuesday, May 14.
Jessica said: “Putting on a show of this scale is a huge undertaking, especially when you consider this isn’t a commercial gallery space, there is a lot to plan and make for the artwork on show.
“The building is an incredible space. It’s been used as a music hall as well as an antiques shop over the years and the architecture lends itself beautifully to a large group exhibition such as ours.

“We endeavour to include artists at varying stages of their career, emerging talents alongside those with a more extensive history of showing their work.”
Adam said: “It’s the thrill of seeing the space that we have spent months planning come to life and the opportunity to collaborate finally with the artists, tweaking and finessing their work within their curated spaces.
“As we are invigilating for the entire duration of the exhibition it’s the interactions and conversations we have with the visitors that leave the most lasting and rewarding impressions.”
According to Jessica, the exhibition is a celebration of the hand skills and process of the modern maker, with an eclectic collection of skilfully made artworks on show.
The displays by sixteen East Anglian artists will include ceramic and bronze sculpture, printmaking, textiles, resin furniture, collage and glass.
Jessica said: “I would say that any creative event is hugely important to a community culturally.
“The promotion of visual arts is vital to the enrichment of our towns and plays its part in keeping our high streets vibrant and alive.
“I am personally very grateful to all those taking part in this year’s event, the artists have to place their faith in us, as we do for them.
“We are the custodians of their work while the show is on, and we have a huge responsibility to show their work as well as we possibly can.”
