Norris Frederick is jumping to a new creative venture after more than 13 years as a professional track and field athlete.
The former Team USA member, who is one of the world’s best long and high jumpers, is debuting a Kirkland gallery, The Frederick Collection,” at 6 p.m. on Aug. 8. The grand opening will be hosted by former Seahawk Marcus Trufant.
Frederick’s collection “invites you to experience the soulful artistry and rich visual storytelling that defines our world,” an event announcement said. Frederick is a self-taught photographer focusing on landscape, wildlife, and nature. From professional athlete to social media influencer, public speaker, philanthropist, videographer, and photographer, Frederick aims to tell a story of inspiration, persistence, and connection, the announcement noted.
