BUSHWICK — THE UNDERDONK ART GALLERY, A BUSHWICK STAPLE SINCE 2013, is hosting a new group show dubbed “Yours or Mine,” a diverse array of displays that tackles everything: neon lights, 3D-printed sculptures and laser-cut plexiglass. Highlights include Jackie Slanley’s botanical-inspired plexiglass pieces and Sam Reeder’s neon sculpture exploring contemporary gay culture. The exhibit also showcases Sydney Shavers’ frosting sculpture, symbolizing fragility and impermanence, and Oletha Devane’s narrative altarpieces. The show is running until Sept. 29.
Underdonk is an artist-run exhibition space in Bushwick, dedicated to showcasing emerging and underrepresented artists across various disciplines. Established in 2013 — and located at 1329 Willoughby Avenue — the gallery hosts exhibitions, readings and performances and has been featured in numerous art publications.
