Next up at Art Gallery Kimberley is a solo exhibit by Calgary artist Michele Doucette. “Soulful Wonders of the Wild’ is on display until August 4, with an opening reception on Saturday, July 27 from 4 to 6 p.m. with live music from jazz trio ‘the d’linqunt’.
This exhibit features Doucette’s interpretation of the natural world and our local mountains.
“Since embarking on my artistic journey, I have yearned to create a collection that reflects the profound impact nature has had on my being,” Michele explains. “Delving into deeper emotions and embracing a more conscious way of living, I recognized that this collection would serve as a testament to my own inner transformation – a demonstration of my insistent efforts and a source of immense pride.”
Doucette turned to painting after a health issue and has since been recognized with awards in international art competitions.
She is an active supporter of her local community, donating artworks to wildlife conservation efforts and organizations supporting child health and education.
The exhibit welcomes visitors on Monday and Tuesday from 10 am to 2 pm, and on Thursday through Sunday from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm. Don’t miss this opportunity to reconnect with the untamed spirit within.
