Late chief’s photography to be featured at Quesnel Art Ggallery

The exhibit’s opening ceremony will be at 7 p.m. Thursday

An exhibition of the late Nazko Chief Stan Boyd’s photos will be held on June 6th at the Quesnel Arts and Rec Centre. The event will feature Boyd’s photos from Nazko, the Grease Trail as well as downtown Quesnel. The opening ceremony will feature drumming and speakers who will share stories about Boyd’s life and legacy.

“The exhibition serves not only as a showcase of Boyd’s remarkable talent but also as a commemoration of his legacy. It is an occasion for our community to honour his memory and the impact he has left on us all,” says the Art Gallery’s description of the event.

Boyd’s sister, Doreen Patrick, has prepared stories about Boyd’s life including their time in residential school.

The event will be held in the West Fraser room of the Arts Centre from 7 to 9 p.m.
