Lake City to transform into ‘living art gallery’ for annual ArtFields festival


Join artists and art lovers from across the Southeast to witness the small town of Lake City transform into a living art gallery during the 12th annual ArtFields festival.

Set for April 26 to May 4, the festival will showcase more than 700 artworks from Southeastern artists.

The artworks will be displayed throughout the downtown area, transforming historical buildings and businesses into galleries.

Guests can also vote in the art competitions, with a top prize of $50,000 offered to the winning artist at the end of the nine-day event. Winners are selected by public vote as well as a panel of judges.

The public is invited to celebrate the festival firsthand through workshops, concerts, wine tastings, tours and more.

Artfields Jr. is available to students in grades 5K through 12, offering a series of art instruction, performances, workshops and other activities.

There is also a competition component of Artfields Jr., with South Carolina students in grades 1 through 12 invited to submit each year.
