Aug. 6—Libby’s Heritage Museum is hosting an art exhibit in the Tower Gallery through July 31.
The annual event is an opportunity for local artists to display their works.
Some artwork is for sale with a portion of the price going to the museum.
Artwork from a variety of artists grace the walls of the Tower Gallery, including Katie Newton, a 9-year-old girl who recently started taking art classes, and Mya Miller, a resident at Libby Care Center, whose specialties are dragons and mice.
Subjects by other artists include nature scenes, wildlife, hot rods and florals.
Also, on loan from Patricia Neils, is a Clayton Peterson painting of J. Neils Lumber Company’s Shay locomotive #6.
On Thursday, Aug. 1, the Tower Gallery exhibit changed to photography.
Local photographers are invited to to show their work through the end of the season, Sept. 14.
