Bromyard gallery to host Bridget Macdonald exhibition

The exhibition, entitled Sweet Especial Rural Scene, will be open from Friday, October 10, to Sunday, October 12, from 11am to 5pm each day with pop-up café.

The title comes from Gerard Manley Hopkins’s poem Binsey Poplars in which he laments the felling of a row of aspen trees.

Macdonald’s works capture two especial rural landscapes, one from her childhood on the Isle of Wight, and another the land at the head of the Suckley Valley where she and her husband planted an orchard.
