The highly anticipated redevelopment of the Swan Hill Regional Art Gallery is officially underway.
Swan Hill Rural City Council’s Gallery Manager, Ian Tully said residents will soon notice contractors on-site as the initial construction works begin, marking the start of a transformative project that will breathe new life into one of the region’s most treasured cultural institutions.
“The real excitement is now beginning as this project comes to life and we can begin to watch the transformation of our beloved art gallery unfold.
“Brand-new architectural renders of the redevelopment have also been released, giving the community an exciting glimpse into the future of the gallery.
“The designs highlight modernised exhibition spaces, improved amenities, and enhanced public areas, all aimed at creating a welcoming environment for both art enthusiasts and the broader community,” Mr Tully said.
Mr Tully said this project was a significant step toward growing and enriching the local arts community, ensuring the gallery remains a dynamic space for artists and visitors alike.
“Our Gallery has played a vital role in fostering creativity and artistic expression, for many years and the redevelopment will support greater engagement, offering modernised spaces for exhibitions, community programs, and events,” he added.
