Ms King said the guide also shared audio commentaries from the collections team about artworks currently on display and how they were cared for.
It has allowed the team to reveal “more fascinating facts about key objects” from the archaeology, natural history and social history galleries, “as well as objects from our stored collections”, she said.
The organisation had enjoyed using “the innovative features to interpret our galleries in a new way, which will also enable us to share stories from our collections to a worldwide audience”, she added.
