West Palm Beach museum names modern art curator
The Norton Museum of Art has named Regina Palm as its Harold and Anne Berkley Smith senior curator of Modern Art. Joining the Norton from the San Antonio Museum of Art, she will be responsible for the American and European Modern Art Collections, including paintings, sculptures, and works on paper from the Modern era, from circa 1850 to 1960. Palm will steward and interpret approximately 1,100 objects in this collecting area, developing the installation of the collection galleries with the curatorial team. She also will lead the institution’s acquisition strategy for Modern Art, identifying and recommending new acquisitions.
Rosarian Academy teacher adds title of dean
Rosarian Academy in downtown West Palm Beach has appointed Sharon Morris-Lencheski as Dean of Students & Faculty. Lencheski joined Rosarian in 2022 and has been a middle school social studies teacher and curriculum coordinator for the past two years. An experienced educator, Lencheski has a passion for and experience in sports, finance, business, and education. Prior to her time at Rosarian Academy, Lencheski served as business department chair and director of theatre at Notre Dame High School in Easton, PA.
Cancer support group adds two board members
Palm Beach-based Cancer Alliance of Help & Hope, Inc. recently appointed Julie Kampf and Peter Avonda to their board. Kampf is a global business executive with 30 years of experience on both not-for- and for-profit boards of directors. She is the chief executive officer of JBK Associates International. Avonda is portfolio manager, managing director, senior vice president, and investments with Raymond James. Cancer Alliance of Help and Hope, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization which eases the burden of qualified local cancer patients by paying a portion of their non-medical bills, supplementing basic needs, and providing support and information resources.
Health organization names accounting coordinator
Palm Health Foundation recently appointed Ernest Dumenigo as their accounting and grants coordinator. Dumenigo will administer and oversee financial and grantmaking systems and processes to advance the $100 million foundation’s philanthropic mission to inspire and fund solutions for better health through community collaboration. Palm Health Foundation is Palm Beach County’s community foundation for health that builds strong community partnerships, respects diverse opinions, advocates for its most vulnerable neighbors, and inspires innovative solutions to lead change for better health.
Environmental protection, awareness group adds three board members
The Coastal Stewards, a nonprofit conservation organization dedicated to the protection and study of marine life and the coastal ecosystem, recently announced the addition of three new members to its board of trustees. Joining the Ocean Ridge-based non-profit’s board are Ata Sarajedini, Darren Phillips and Alan F. Blumberg. Sarajedini is a professor at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton. Phillips is a veteran of the yachting industry who thrives on exposing clients to the power of a yachting lifestyle. Blumberg has over four decades of experience in oceanography and climate modeling and is a world renowned urban oceanographer, innovator of Predictive Modeling & Ocean Physics.
Century-old West Palm Beach law firm adds to ranks
Jones Foster, a 100-year-old commercial and private client law firm, recently announced that Richard C. Vaughan has joined the firm’s West Palm Beach office as an associate of the private wealth, wills, trusts & estates and corporate & tax team. Vaughan focuses his practice on estate planning, trust and estate administration, business planning, and transactional corporate law. He handles all aspects of estate and trust administration from probate matters to asset distribution.
BankUnited bolsters Broward/Palm Beach team with hire
BankUnited Inc. has named bank industry veteran Amanda Pires as senior vice president, producing team leader for the company’s Broward/Palm Beach, Florida commercial banking team. Pires joins BankUnited from Wells Fargo in Fort Lauderdale, where she spent the last five years as director, middle market banking relationship manager serving Broward and Palm Beach County clients.
Large firm adds to private wealth department in West Palm Beach
Gunster, one of Florida’s oldest and largest full-service business law firms, recently announced that attorney Kenneth A. Grossberg has joined the firm’s private wealth services and tax law practices. Grossberg is an of counsel attorney and a member of the firm’s private wealth services team, based in the West Palm Beach office. Gunster has 12 offices through the state of Florida.
