A GROUP of Nagpurians who
respect art and culture, have
formed a body called ‘Nagpur
Cultural Society’ with an aim
to provide a divine platform
for all sorts of art, such as
singing, dancing, literature,
visual art, and theatre.Theformallaunchingof thesocietywill
be on December 1.
The mega launching ceremony at the iconic Sitabuldi
Fort in the city will also mark
performance by the famous
Kathak dance troupe of STEM
danceKampni fromBangalore.
Natya STEM Dance Kampni
is one ofIndia’s premier dance
companies, offering a unique
combinationof traditionaland
contemporary Indian dance.
Madhu Nataraj, the mentor,
choreographerandartpreneur,
has more than 300 choreographies to her credit held in over
36 countries.
Announcing this here at a
press conference, President of
NCS,RinaSinha,stated that the
uniqueness of the society lies
in its aims and objectives.
“NCSwould arrangevarious
art and culture-related events,
suchasexhibitions,shows, and
festivals, to celebrate the richness and diversity of culture.It
would collaborate with local
artists andculturalinstitutions
tocreateopportunities forcultural exchange,” she said.

Sharma said with the launching of the society, Nagpur will
not only be known as the city
of oranges and tigers but also
as a great cultural hub ofIndia.
NCS will collaborate with
other educational organisations and institutes to encourage activities related to art and
culture,support talentedartists
with resources, and promote
the growth of art.
